World-class fiddler coming to Portsmouth, Manchester, Friday, March 5

Lissa Schneckenburger makes two Southern New Hampshire performances this week.
First, the world-class fiddler will be at The Dolphin Striker in Portsmouth on Friday, March 5, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12.
And on Saturday, March 6, at 7 p.m., she takes the stage at Jewell & The Beanstalk Cafe, 793 Somerville St., Manchester. Here, she will be accompanied by guitarist Bethany Waickman.
Schneckenberger plays Americana and Celtic-style fiddling. Her specialty is traditional New England music, which she performs nearly constantly throughout North America and Europe. She also has developed a strong reputation for her songwriting and her beautiful vocal style.
Presently living in Vermont, she is a native of Maine and a graduate of the prestigious New England Conservatory. Her emphasis on Maine traditional music allows her to wander through her native state’s history, exploring its rich archive of music from its forests, to its mill towns, to the sea.
Schneckenberger is a proud member of an ever-growing Boston-based acoustic musicians’ community that is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the finest music communities in the world.
Her performance is part of a series of shows Heptunes is producing around New England to showcase members of that community.
The Dolphin Striker is located at 15 Cere St. in Portsmouth. For more information call 978-462-9630 or visit www.mktix.com/heptunes.
