‘Hobbit’ journeys to Seacoast Repertory

PORTSMOUTH — Seacoast Repertory Theatre presents “The Hobbit” from Feb. 13 to 28, with performances on Saturdays at 9 and 11:30 a.m. and Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
In the story, Bilbo, one of the most conservative of all Hobbits, is asked to leave his large, roomy and very dry home in the ground in order to set off as chief robber in an attempt to recover an important treasure. It’s the last thing that any sensitive Hobbit would want to do, but great benefit eventually results — not only for Bilbo but for all of the Hobbits who inhabit Middle Earth.
Great things happen, too, in the hearts of those children and adults of all ages who believe in magic and find themselves in a seat at this performance.
Seacoast Repertory Theater is located at 125 Bow St., Portsmouth. Tickets are $6. For tickets or more information, call 433-4472.
