The midway offers exciting amusement park rides and games all four days of the fair. And on Oct. 2 and Oct. 4, unlimited rides are just $20 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Of course, there is all that delicious fair food — everything from sausage subs to old-fashioned cotton candy to funnel cake.
It stars Jessica Biel at her glamorous best — looking like a (prettier) Jean Harlow, crooning like a chanteuse and dancing like a star.
“Virtue’s” cast features some top-shelf British actors, including Kristin Scott Thomas, Colin Firth and Ben Barnes (who starred in “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”).
What makes things work is that the Idle Hands bring together such varied stylistic touchpoints without sounding too much like any one of these groups. In fact, it’s hard to say this Minneapolis-based group sounds like any one band. And most importantly, the songs on “The Hearts We Broke…” are consistently strong, spirited, and packed with memorable hooks.
The second screenplay from Diablo Cody following her debut smash “Juno” is so chock full of her quirky trademarks, it almost plays like a parody of something she’d write. The self-consciously clever dialogue, the gratuitous pop-culture references, the made-up phrases intended to convey a specific high school ethos — they’re all there.
